THE KING OF WRESTLING!

Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.” But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” —Genesis 32:29-30

We do not and cannot understand the glory of God! He is so far beyond us. So glorious is His glory that if He were to appear to us in His full glory we would instantly die (Exodus 33:20; I Timothy 6:16).

Yet in veiled form He wrestled with Jacob as mentioned above. He had appeared to Abraham before that (Genesis 18:1-3). In the Garden of Eden He walked with Adam and Eve (Genesis 2-3). He appeared to Moses as mentioned in Exodus 33. He appeared to Joshua (Joshua 5:15) and others… Then Jesus came veiled in flesh to live on earth for 33 years, die for our sins, rise from the grave and return to the glory He knew before He came to earth (John 17:5).

And all those who have truly called on Jesus’ Name for salvation (Romans 10:13) are going to be glorified with Him! (John 17; Romans 8:30; Ephesians 1:18). Rejoice! “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (I Corinthians 2:9). “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6-7). https://youtu.be/bo9ZWX1lEKI?t=1021

Dear Father, Oh, to be with my Lord Jesus where He is. That is my heart’s desire. But until then may I run faithfully the race You have marked out for me. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
