“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28-30

Are you weary and do you have burdens? Do you just have a tiredness that won’t go away? Is there a burden you are carrying that just seems so heavy? There is an answer—- “take the yoke of Jesus on yourself.” Listen to Him and take to heart what He has to say. “I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope” (Psalm 130:5). “He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave” (Psalm 107:20). “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens” (Psalm 68:19). Will you let Jesus take your burdens instead of trying to carry them yourself? “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:3). Will you trust Jesus “so that you will not grow weary and lose heart?” Do you understand that “help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2). Why carry the burden? Why be weary? Give it to Jesus!

Dear Father, thank You that I can give my burdens and weariness to Jesus. I am so glad that I can trust Him fully and may I do so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
