I AM REDEEMED!
So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. —Galatians 2:15
You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. —Psalm 59:17
Lord Jesus, I have put my faith in You. My eternal destiny lies with You and You alone. You have taken my punishment at the cross for my sin. Justice has been carried out on You for me and I am eternally grateful. I know there was nothing I could do to be made right before You except trust in Your finished work at the cross. And now, “You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.” Yes, I fully rely on You for salvation because, “No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—so that they should live on forever and not see decay” (Psalm 49:7-9). No mere man could redeem anyone, “But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead; he will surely take me to himself” (Psalm 49:15). Yes, truly…
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” —I Peter 2:9-10
This is only possible because of what God has done. No mere man could have brought us to this place. Jesus was no mere man—
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” —I Peter 1:18-21
Yes, indeed, I “believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” I am redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. Thank You, Dear Father, for redeeming me. It is my desire to honor You with my life… such as it is. May I do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So may it be… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HqxingoYS0&list=RD8HqxingoYS0&start_radio=1
