I STAKE MY ETERNAL DESTINY ON THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. —Galatians 1:3-5

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! —Galatians 1:6-9

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.  For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. —I Corinthians 15:1-8

The gospel: “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared…”  Yes, Jesus “gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”  And so now, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Beware of anybody that preaches “a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all.  Paul was very clear as he was moved by God’s Holy Spirit to write that “even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”

We need to be reminded by the gospel “which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.”  Yes, Dear Father, I have taken my stand on the gospel.  I hold firm to Your Word about the gospel.  I have not believed in vain, but seek to live according to the gospel.  Indeed, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).  I stake my eternal destiny on these truths by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.  Yes, I rest/trust my eternal destiny in Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLsETd3MFzk&list=RDmLsETd3MFzk&start_radio=1  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=4s
