BE FAITHFUL TO THE END!
BE FAITHFUL TO THE END!
All Israel was listed in the genealogies recorded in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. They were taken captive to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness. —I Chronicles 9:1
Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse. —I Chronicles 10:13-14
Unfaithfulness to the Lord has its consequences. Not keeping the Word of the Lord also has consequences. And surely instead of inquiring of the Lord and consulting with mediums is unfaithfulness to our Lord that will also have consequences.
Saul died from a random arrow shot, but judgment was written all over it and that arrow struck him in the crease of his armor and he died. But he died because of his unfaithfulness to our Lord. Judah also was sent into captivity because of unfaithfulness to our Lord.
Unfaithfulness will catch up with a person in due time. For those who know Jesus we are called to “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and (Jesus) will give (us) life as (our) victor’s crown” (Revelation 2:10). Brother and sister, we need fear even death because Jesus “shared in (our) humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death” (Hebrews 2:14-15). So let us be faithful until death or until Jesus comes back. Either way “let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). Yes, let us be faithful until we are finally home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRSGXKsv7IU
Dear Father may I be faithful to You above all things and all that means. I cannot do this on my own. I the power of Your Holy Spirit and the authority of Your Son Jesus to live faithfully for You and may this be so.
