I AM FREE

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. —John 8:35

            Those who are in prisons of concrete, bars and barbed wire who know Jesus are freer than those who have all the money, toys, power and possessions who know not Jesus!  Those who know Jesus in countries with hostile regimes are freer than those who do not know Jesus in countries that do not have hostile regimes.  This world is so temporary.  Even if a person lives 100 years, what is that compared to forever?  Will you live for the temporary or the eternal?

            Jesus sets us free from the power of sin, Satan, death, condemnation and He saves us to a relationship with God, no need to fear death, not condemnation and eternal life with Him and all who love Him!  We will be with Him soon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk

            Those who do not know Jesus need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).  Whether they know it or not it is Satan who is the one who has trapped them and holding them captive to do his will.  What is one of His greatest traps?  It is to help people think they are in control of their own lives and to think that God does not exist or that He doesn’t care what a person does.  These are huge traps and controls.

            For those of us who know Jesus we are to—

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. —II Timothy 2:22-26
