FAITH ACTS!

FAITH ACTS!

Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry.  Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.  If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” —Matthew 21:18-22

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. —Luke 17:6

Is there something our Lord wants of you, but you think it is too hard? If the Lord wants you to do something then trust Him, have the faith in Him that He will do it in you or through you. So… what is it? What is our Lord asking of you? Talk to Him about it and then trust Him, have the faith in Him to accomplish it!

Just reflect for a few moments. What has the Lord desired of you in the past? Remember how you had the faith in Him to accomplish that? You did not doubt! Surely He did that in the past and surely He will do that in the present and future as He guides. Put your faith in Him and do not doubt what He desires to do in and through you.   Yes, put your faith in Him and don’t doubt!

Dear Father whatever it is You want me to be and do may I have the faith and not doubt to be that and do that. Oh, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus my Lord.   So be it!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. —Hebrews 12:1-2
