PARTNERS IN SERVICE TO OUR KING

As for Titus, he is my partner and co-worker among you… —II Corinthians 8:23

Recently, I was in a planning session with leaders and one mention how he felt isolated when it comes to Disciple-Making Movements—https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=disciple+making+movement&mid=FBDCA7BD006467E2AA3BFBDCA7BD006467E2AA3B&churl=https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa6bMzKYBAwEWLW_SnIoVhA&FORM=VIRE There just does not seem to be a desire of many to make disciples generationally— making disciples that make disciples that make disciple right down to the end of the age.  This brother’s feeling of isolation is not felt by him alone.  I am glad for the ones that do have a desire to go in this direction, but here in the northeast U.S. there is little desire… at least to this point.

Paul mentions Titus as a partner in serving our Lord.  What a joy it is to have partners in ministry!  Not only was Titus a partner in ministry with Paul, but he was also a co-worker among the Corinthians.  Titus was a faithful servant of our Lord and could be entrusted with our Lord’s work.

There was another time that we can see Paul’s trust that he had in Titus from Titus 1:5— “The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.”  Paul had the confidence in Titus that he would carry out the directives that he had given him.  Oh, what a joy to be working with people like that!  To be able to delegate to others and know they will do what needs to be done is wonderful.

I find it interesting that Jesus has delegated to His disciples (Matthew 28:16) —us who believe— the responsibility to make disciples in all the nations.  I am grateful to know that what He has delegated will be done— one way or the other.  He knows who the faithful ones are that have the right focus.  Oh, that we would be faithful in the call that He has on our lives.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNjZlHARnEk&list=RDeNjZlHARnEk&start_radio=1
