LISTEN!

LISTEN!

 And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” — Mark 9:7

             Are you listening to Him?  What is He saying to you?  We have His Word.  Are you reading and listening?  Our Father told us to “listen to him.”  Though Jesus is not physically with us today He did say—

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” —John 16:12-15

            So again I ask— Are you listening to Him?  He has given us His Word.  Are you taking the time to read… and listen?  There is so much that can fill our ears and distract us from simply being still… listening.  But this is our Father’s command to us—“listen to him.”  Jesus is His beloved Son and it is a serious matter if we are not taking the time to listen to Him through God’s Holy Spirit.  It is actually disobedience.

            Why does our Father command us to listen to His Son?  It is because Jesus always has out best interests in mind.  He is the author and finisher of our faith.  He has mark a race of life out for us to run.  As we are running we are to keep our eyes fixed on Him (Romans 12:1-2).  And… our ears need to be open to Him.  Are we being faithful in listening and focus?  Oh, Dear Father may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, my Lord Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWPC4clWLbQ
