HAVE MANY COUNSELORS!

 Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. —Proverbs 10:17

 Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. —Proverbs 11:14

             Are you heeding the instruction of the Lord or are you more concerned with the instruction of men? Do you take time to listen to Him through His Word or are you just listening to what men say?   When He shows you error in your life do you correct it or just go on your way? To reject His reproof will cause you to lead others astray. To reject His counsel is to reject His guidance. To not submit to what He has to say puts you in danger.

            Are you and island unto yourself? So you only go by your own thoughts and ideas? Or are in relationship with many followers of Jesus for fellowship and Scriptural input? There is safety in a multitude of counselors, but to be a counselor to yourself only is great danger. Who are you connected with to grow together in the Lord Jesus? I will plainly say that if you are not connected with godly followers of Jesus then you are in great danger of deception and destruction in your life.

            I am so overjoyed to spend regular time with a great number of godly believers from around the world who God is working in and through to impact this world.   It is so exciting to learn with them and from them. I would be a fool to think I have all the wisdom I need without others. So the question I have for you today is— “Who are you connect with?” Do you have an abundance of counselors? The abundance of them is key! Not just a couple, but many! That is where there is safety. If you do not have these godly people in your life then you are in great danger.

            Our Lord did not make us His followers to journey though life alone.   No, His Church, His Body, is made up of every single person world-wide that has called on His Name for salvation.   As part of His body we are only one member, but that one member needs the other members of the body to function in a healthy way. So let us not be an island unto ourselves, but a member in conjunction with other members of the Body of Christ learning and serving together.
