GOD’S LOVE

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. —Psalm 63:3

Is this how we view the love of our Lord God Almighty? Is His love of more importance than any other relationship on earth? Is His love our highest priority? Is His love more important than our job, our family, our leisure or anything else? May we truly “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:18-19).

It is this love God has for us that motivates us in every area of life— “Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life” (II Corinthians 5:14). If God’s love is not of highest priority in our lives, then our walk with Him will not be what it could be. Oh, may we know His love, be growing in the knowledge of His love and allow His love to control us in every area of our lives. May it be so!

Dear Father, may Your love for me motivate me to live a life that is faithful to You above all. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus my Lord.
