BEWARE!
Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. —Jeremiah 23:24
This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.” At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground. —Jeremiah 25:32-33
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God… The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. —II Thessalonians 2:3-4, 9-12
Nothing escapes our Lord’s notice. Surely, He does “fill heaven and earth!” And His will is going to be accomplished on this earth. There is a time coming, and may be upon us, when “Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.” If it is not in process now, we surely can see how that will happen in our world. It would not take much to create a world-wide catastrophe so “At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground.” Yes, it would not take much in this unstable world to see this happen.
When this does happen— when the Day of the Lord is close by, beware of those times and—

Brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, beware of the times should they come upon our generation because “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24). Be careful of the “shiny things” that appeal to the flesh and not the Spirit of God. And let us be about our Lord’s mission (Matthew 28:18-20) until the end of our lives or the end of this age (Matthew 24:14. Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
