TRUST GOD’S WORD AND NOT MAN’S LUNACY
This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name: “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord, “will Israel ever cease being a nation before me.” This is what the Lord says: “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord. —Jeremiah 31:35-37
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” —Jeremiah 32:17
Anti-Israel groups chant “From the river to the sea” as they call for a Palestinian State and the eradication of Israel. God has news for them all. He says Israel, as a nation, will not cease to exist anymore than—
- The sun ceasing to shine by day
- The moon and stars ceasing to shine by night
- The seas ceasing their roaring waves
The Lord says, “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord, “will Israel ever cease being a nation before me.” He also says, “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord. So, there you have it. That is what the Lord God Almighty says. Now, whose word are you going to adhere to— those of a chanting mob or the Word of the Lord. Well, I will adhere to what our Lord God Almighty says.
- The sun will continue to shine by day
- The moon and stars will continue to shine by night
- The waves of the sea will continue to roar
- The heavens will never be able to be measured by man
- The foundations of the earth will never be able to be searched out by man
This is what our Lord God Almighty says and yes, Dear Father, I will trust in Your Word rather than man’s looney slogans. I thank You that Your Word can be fully trusted and may I do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
