OH, HOW HE LOVES US!

OH, HOW HE LOVES US!

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. —Psalm 103:11-12

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. —Psalm 103:17-18

How “great is his love for those who fear him?”  It is “as high as the heavens are above the earth.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxTOsQ3LDE4 Nobody love us like Jesus— “We love because he first loved us” (I John 4:19) and “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us” (I John 3:16; John 3:16).  There is no greater love!

Not only does He love us, but “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”  What does that mean?  East and west never meet.  Go west forever and you will never start going east.  I am so glad He did not say as far as the north is from the south because after 12,000 miles going north you would then start going south.  No, He said east from the west because you can travel forever and not start going east— our sins are gone forever! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyoVJfADlwo

His everlasting love and righteousness are toward those who fear Him and extends to “their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.”  This is not automatic.  No, their children and then their children’s children need to decide to faithfully follow Him as well— “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” (John 1:12-13).  Yes, each person needs to come to their own conclusion and “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  May all reading this come to that conclusion if they have not already.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  And may this be for Your honor and glory! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=8s
