SAFE AND SECURE IN THE MIDST OF DIFFICULTY
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. —Hebrews 7:25-27
We are safe and secure in Jesus, regardless of what comes our way. Jesus “always lives to make intercession for” us. “And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). “shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 8:37-39
The heartache of this world cannot “separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We need to cling to Him and trust Him for all those things that we do not understand— even those very hard, heart-wrenching things. Trust Him, hold on to Him. He has a hold on you! Yes, Dear Father, may this be so for anyone going though the most difficult of times. May You comfort, encourage them as they cling to You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. So may it be… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW5o2uBeMWQ
