REDEMPTION JOY!

What joy in our Lord we have when we understand that He has done what no man can do! The price to redeem us could not be paid by man. Even if every person who has ever lived gave themselves in payment for one person, it would not be enough to redeem that person. Do you understand how much God values you?
Your value is so great that the Eternal Son of God, Jesus, was willing to leave the glories of heaven for you. He came to this sin infested, rebellious mankind to allow them to mock Him, beat Him, spit on Him, flog Him, press a crown of thorns on His head, make Him carry a cross, execute Him on that cross, die and excruciating death… but then rise from the dead proving Himself to be the Son of God (Romans 1:4). Why did He do that? Because He loves us! He did all that… for you… and me! How awesome is that! That is how much He values people and “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” and there is no redemption,,, BUT—
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” —I Peter 1:18-21
Yes… what man could not do, Jesus did! Let us rejoice and be full of joy at the fact that our Lord God Almighty loves us so much. Do we really get that? He so loves us so that He gave Jesus to die for us that whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life and not perish in Hell (John 3:16). Yes, rejoice and be filled with joy! Thank You Father for the joy I have in Jesus. May I live that out for the rest of my life in the power of Your holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus! Yes, may it be so!
