“It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me.” —Jeremiah 27:5

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. —Psalm 19:1-4

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. —Romans 1:18-20

But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. —Jeremiah 29:7

And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ —Acts 17:25-28

Our Lord God Almighty is the Creator and Sustainer of all creation (Colossians 1:16-17).  He has determined when the nations will exist and He has also determined the times that we would exist within that nation.  He has us where we are for His purposes within His created order.  He specifically has work for us to do wherever we are (Ephesians 2:10).  This He all does according to His plans and purposes.

So, consider that today in what you are doing and where you are going.  Why does He have you doing what you are doing today?  Why does He have you going where you are going today?  All this fits into His plans and purposes.  May we be sensitive to what He is doing and work along with Him.  Yes, Lord may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May it be so!

So… why you doing what you are doing today?  Why are you going where you are going today?  Let us look to Him to know why!
