LOVING HIM OR DESPISING HIM IS A DESTINY DETERMINATOR

LOVING HIM OR DESPISING HIM IS A DESTINY DETERMINATOR

They say continually to those who despise the word of the LORD, ‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, ‘No disaster shall come upon you.’ —Jeremiah 23:17

“For twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken persistently to you, but you have not listened. —Jeremiah 23:3

I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. —Psalm 18:1-2

Which are you?  Are you one who has heard the Word of God for years, but have not listened?  Has someone come to you persistently to share God’s Word with you and you have not considered what was said?  Do you despise the Word of the Lord?  Do you surround yourself with those who say, “It will be well with you?”  When you follow your own stubborn heart, do you say, like others, “No disaster shall come upon you?”  Is that how you think?  If so, I would say to you, you are like others who need to come “to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).  We will either be doing Satan’s will or God’s will.  Which are you doing?  Rejecting Jesus and His Word is Satan’s will for you.  Accepting Jesus and His Word is God’s will for you.  Which are you doing?

Then there are those who say, “I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”  These followers of Jesus truly love Him and understand that He is—

  • Their strength— they understand they truly don’t have any strength of their own. It comes from Him.
  • Their rock— they understand He is the only solid foundation for life now and for eternal life.
  • Their fortress— they understand that He ultimately is their safe place.
  • Their shield— they understand He alone is their protection.
  • Their horn of salvation— they understand He alone has the strength to save them.
  • Their stronghold— they understand that He cannot be moved and neither will those who love Him.

Again, I ask, which are you?  Your answer presently determines your destiny forever.  Those who have a relationship with him love Him.  Those who do not presently have a relationship with Him do not love Him.  I encourage you, if you have not, then call on His Name to save you from your sin to an eternal relationship with Him.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=1s

If you do love Him, if you do know Him, then take this message to others so they too can know Him.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus. May this be out of our love for You.  Yes, may this be our motivation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSAN5ObaRQg
