MAN IS IN REBELLION AGAINST GOD
Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child? —Jeremiah 30:6
“Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child?” This is a question that the Lord God Almighty is asking. On one hand it is a rhetorical question and the obvious answer is “no!” But we live in a time, though mankind has been rebellious in many way since the since Adam and Eve sinned, that the satanically induced mental instability has people answering “yes” today to this question. This is in direct opposition to what God says. Why?
“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” —Psalm 2:1-3
Mankind rebels against God in so many ways. Why? It is because man wants to be the god of their own life. Man wants to do what he wants to do. Man does not want anything to do with God and His ways. So, man goes his own way and goes contrary to God’s design in so many ways and this is a world-wide conspiracy against God, but it is all in vain.
This is one of the most absurd rebellious ways— “Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child?” Of course, a man cannot bear a child, not in the “natural sense.” Think about this— those that believe man can bear a child also believe that man can become pregnant. That is how a child comes to be. So, are they telling us that two men can have sexual relations (as perverted as that is) and one can get the other pregnant? Which means they could get each other pregnant? How irrational and ludicrous is that? Yet there are those who are promoting this idea that a man can have a child? God’s word is very clear about this type of thinking when He says they need “repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will” (II Timothy 2:25-26). They are “out of their minds” and not thinking right. What they do not understand is that they and their thinking are imprisoned by Satan, captivated by him to do his will. Satan is against all that is of God and he will pervert anything he can that God has designed. Satan is anti-God, anti-Christ and all that are as well fall under Satan’s control— whether they know it or not. What does God say about this type of rebellion? Take heed!
“The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.” Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. —Psalm 2:4-12
The Lord God Almighty has each man’s destiny in His hand and if rebellious man does not line up with His will, then they will suffer the eternal consequences. I hope any who have never called on Jesus hears this warning.
