GIVE THANKS!

GIVE THANKS!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. —Psalm 136:1

            Have you given thanks to our Lord today?  Why not stop whatever you are doing at this moment and thank Him?  We have so much to thank Him for.  This Psalm 136 is full of thankfulness to Him.  May our hearts also be filled with gratefulness.

            We are so thankful to know that God is good and there is not even a shadow of evil in His character.  Not only is He good, but we can always depend on His love… forever!  Oh, give thanks for His steadfast love.  Another love such as His does not exist.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” —Ephesians 3:17-19     

            Fellow follower of Jesus, brother and sister, let us bask in the brilliance and warmth of the love Jesus has for us.  It is astounding when we sit and think about His love for us.  Nobody loves us like Jesus.  Ponder His incarnation, His living on this planet, His dying on the cross, His rising from the grave, His ascending back to Heaven, His preparation of a place for us, His promised return, His taking ourselves to be with Him and His making of all things new.  Yes, let us ponder His great love for us.  His love for us is truly astounding.  You are loved!  And I thank You, Dear Father for Your love for me.  I am so grateful You loved us so much that Jesus was willing to come and die for our sin so we could be with You forever.  May I always have a thankful attitude by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_7wUR2Wdg
