I STAND IN AWE OF MY LORD GOD ALMIGHTY

Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. —Isaiah 30:15

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. —Isaiah 30:18

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” —Isaiah 30:21

For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the Lord; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.  Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just. But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand. —Isaiah 32:6-8

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. —Isaiah 33:6

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. —Galatians 5:1

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. —Psalm 63:3

             Consider the many truths in today’s readings.  Our Lord God Almighty says—

• Repentance and rest are our salvation
• In quietness and trust is our strength
• There are those who would have none of His ways
• That He longs to be gracious to you
• That He will rise up and show you compassion
•  “This is the way; walk in it.”
• Of fools & scoundrels that they speak folly, are bent on evil, practice ungodliness, spread error concerning Him, leave the hungry empty, withhold water from the thirsty, use wicked methods, make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, these wicked schemes are against the needy who have just causes
• The noble makes noble plans
• By noble deeds the noble stand
• That He will be a sure foundation for our times
• That He is a rich store of salvation
• That He is a rich store of wisdom
• That He is a rich store of knowledge
• That the fear of Him is the key to all this treasure
• That for freedom He has set us free
• That His love is better than life
