WHO AM I FOR MY LORD TO CONSIDER ME?

(Today’s fasting and prayer Scripture— II Timothy 2:1-7—- Be strong in the grace that is in Jesus and entrust to faithful men who are able to teach others what we have heard.  Focus on the eternal, be faithful and fruitful.  This will be my prayer focus that I seek within the hour of 6am, 12pm and 6pm)

WHO AM I FOR MY LORD TO CONSIDER ME?

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? —II Samuel 7:18

Therefore you are great, O LORD God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. —II Samuel 7:22

This is a good question for any follower of Jesus— “Who am I, O Lord GOD… that you have brought me thus far?”  The answer is— “We are nothing compared to Him and it is only by His loving grace that He has saved all who have called on Jesus” (Romans 10:13-17; Ephesians 2:8-9).  He has called us for His purposes and many of those purposes are clearly written in His Word that we are to live by.  He has not left us in the dark as to how we are to live or what we are to be about as we live in this world.  And His Word gives us a glimpse of the glory to come with Jesus and all who love Him.  But for now, we are to be faithfully living for Him.

Our Lord God Almighty is great and there are none like Him.  There is no other who loves us so much that He left the glories of Heaven, came to earth in a body to live among us, showed us who He is, died for our sin, rose again from the dead to prove He was/is the Son of God, ascended back to heaven to prepare a place for us and is coming again for us or we will go to Him first through death (Romans 1:4).

“Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.” —I Timothy 3:16

So let us be strong in the grace, that underserved favor that God has bestowed upon us.  May we be teaching others to hand down what we have heard to those who are faithful are able also to teach others to do the same.  Yes, may we be disciples of Jesus that make disciples of Jesus that in turn make disciples of Jesus to the end of the age.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.  Thank You for Your great loving kindness toward us! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBcqria2wmg
