WE ARE SENT TO PROCLAIM SO THE WORD OF THE GOSPEL WILL BE NEAR THE LOST!

“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. —Deuteronomy 30:11-14

Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10: 5-13

The Word of God is near when “the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Oh, all those who have heard the Word of God are responsible to make a choice— to believe it or not!  But here is the important part for you and I, fellow follower of Jesus—

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:11-15

People need to hear to believe and our Lord has sent us so they can hear (John 17:18).  We are the bringers of good news!  We are sent with the good news!  We are the preachers of —good news!  So they can hear the good news!  So they can believe the good news!  So they can call on Him Who is the good news!  So they can be saved by the good news!  The good news is for everyone!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yBzIt_z8oY

We have the good news and so the good news is not far off in heaven or in the depths.  No, the good news we have is close to all we come into contact with— family, friends, neighbors, workmates, classmates, strangers… anyone we come near… if we proclaim it!  Having God’s Word near does no good for them unless we tell them.  Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) and faith comes by reading (John 20:31).  Are we speaking God’s message to people?  Are we sharing the written Word with people?  THIS IS WHY WE ARE HERE— TO GLORIFY GOD BY BEING HIS WITNESSES AND DISCIPLE-MAKERS!  Dear Father may we be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=213s
