MY REFUGE FOREVER!

MY REFUGE FOREVER!

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. —Deuteronomy 32:39

Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult! —Psalm 64:10

Fellow follower of Jesus, brother and sister in our Lord, let us rejoice in Him.  We are safe because He is our refuge.  We need not fear because as Jesus’ sheep He says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one” (John 10:27-30).  So you see, we are safe in the refuge of God’s Mighty hand!

It is our Lord God Almighty who has the power over life and death.  He it is that also heals.  What He decides to do will be done and “there is none that can deliver out of (His) hand.”  As a follower of Jesus I know that I will not die until He says so.  He only is God and there are no other gods besides Him.  I can trust Him fully with my life.

I need to learn and reflect on the number of my days so I “may gain a heart of wisdom: (Psalm 90:12).  The average age in the U.S. is about 77 years.  How interesting it is that God’s Word says, “Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures” (Psalm 90:10).  Those numbers are sobering as I consider turning 68 years of age in a few days.  But what is also encouraging is that “My times are in Your hands” and so I can trust You fully with my life… now and forever! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RocPcgqCDE0

Dear Father I am greatly comforted to know You are over all life.  Thank You for being my refuge.  Oh, that I would be and do what You desire with the remainder of my life in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
