DO NOT ADD OR TAKE AWAY FROM GOD’S WORD!

DO NOT ADD OR TAKE AWAY FROM GOD’S WORD!

You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you. —Deuteronomy 4:2

Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.  Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar. —Proverbs 30:5-6

I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book. —Revelation 22:18-19

We surely need to be careful to the utmost that we do not add nor take away from the Word of God.  Do not change what He has said.  Do not add to what He has said.  Do not take away from what He has said.  Seek to be faithfully and lovingly obedient to what He has said.

His Word is flawless and man’s word is filled with flaw.  Which do you want to fully trust?  Which do you want to fully follow?  Which can you fully trust to guide you correctly?  Surely God’s Word needs to be top priority in our lives and everything, yes everything, needs to be filter through the Word of God.  His Word is Truth.

As we follow His Word we will experience His protection, peace and prosper in our relational maturity with Him.  But those who intentionally take away from His Word or add to His Word are in direct disobedience to Him.  They will be proven to be liars and they are in the very danger of judgment and an eternity separated from God.

Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, this is very serious.  We need to listen and convey correctly what God has said.  We are to listen and apply His Word correctly to our own lives and then to encourage others to do the same.  God’s Word is flawless and we are flawed, but let us hold to the flawless Word of God and be faithful.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of our Lord Jesus, Your Son.  So may it be for the rest of our lives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM
