GOD’S WAYS WILL PREVAIL!

Why, O LORD, do you stand far away? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised. For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the LORD. —Psalms 10:1-3

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. —Hebrews 4:13

            There are times when it may seem that our Lord is distant from what is happening in our nation and in our World.  It may seem like He is hiding Himself in times of trouble, but this could not be further from the truth.  “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

            Every single person will appear before Him either at the Judgment Seat of Christ for the believer (II Corinthians 5:10) or at the White Throne Judgment for those who never have called on Jesus (Revelation 20:11-15).  Nobody is getting away with anything.  It may at times appear that way, but it is not the case.  All will appear before our Lord God Almighty.

            Those wicked in positions of power are selfishly pursuing their own desires.  They are arrogant and they do not care about the poor, but instead seek to take advantage of them.  The wicked are schemers, boasting of their wicked desires and they are greedy for gain.  They do not care who they hurt.  It is all about them.  They are absolutely selfish.

            The wicked also renounce our Lord by word, deed or both.  Oh, they can tack on religious veneer, but it is only for show and deception.  Their actions speak much more loudly and clearly than their flowery speeches— just words used to pacify the unsuspecting.  Deceptive words seeking to cover their true intentions.  Again, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”  Nothing escapes our Lord’s notice… nothing!

            Brother and sister, regardless of what is happening around us in this fallen, sinful world, we have been given responsibility by our Lord.  Let us be about those responsibilities.  Yes, Father, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus, expecting You to accomplish just what You said You’d accomplish.  I am so grateful to know I can rest in Your promises and trust them to come to pass.
