But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind. —Daniel 2:30

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. —I John 2:2

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. —I John 2:15-27

Daniel understood that he did not have any wisdom more than anyone else living, but that God revealed information to him that he in turn could relay to the king.  Daniel was to explain to the king what the Lord had already revealed to the king.  And so it is with we who have called on Jesus to save us (Romans 10:13).  We are to explain to those God is drawing to Himself what God has revealed to us.  We are no different from any others on this planet, but God has extended His mercy and grace toward us that we can in turn do the same to others by bring the message of the gospel of salvation to those who do not know Him (I Corinthians 15:1-8).

God has shown to us that Jesus is the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice, the sacrifice that pleased God’s wrath against us for our sins.  And not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world.  This is truly awesome that God’s Son took the penalty and punishment for the sins of all times— past, present and future— upon Himself.  Let us rejoice that He did this so we could be saved from sin and to a relationship with Him through Jesus!

Now He is to be our priority.  We are to live for Him.  We are to love Him with all our being and as He loves people we are to love people as well (Matthew 22:37-40).  For those who love this world then the love of the Father is not in them.  Those who are friends of this world are enemies of God! (James 4:4).  The world is so contrary to God.  It is filled with “the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions.”  We are not be prideful and follow those desires of the world.  They are passing away, “but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”  So let us focus on the will of God shown through the Word of God to be and do those things that please God.

So, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, let us be like Daniel.  Let us pass on to others those things that God has revealed to us.  God reveals things to us, not to keep to ourselves, but to share them with others.  So let us share the good news of the gospel with others.  May we share all about our Wonderful, Awesome Lord God Almighty.  Yes, Dear Father, and may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.  So may it be!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eQd3K2Fxp4
