A PERSON OR NATION REAPS WHAT IS SOWN— TURN TO OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

“For twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken persistently to you, but you have not listened. You have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the LORD persistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever. Do not go after other gods to serve and worship them, or provoke me to anger with the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’ Yet you have not listened to me, declares the LORD, that you might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm. “Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: Because you have not obeyed my words, behold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the LORD, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, and make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp. This whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. —Jeremiah 25:3-11

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. —II Timothy 3:1-5

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. —II Timothy 3:12-13

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. —II Timothy 3:16-17

God’s Word teaches us, shows us where we are in error, corrects us and trains us to live right and prepares us for “every good work.”  We are told not to “be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life” (Galatians 6:7-8).  We in America are reaping the destruction we have sown for decades.

For 23 years Jeremiah spoke the Word of God to the people, but they would not listen.  Therefore, judgment would come to them and they would be exiled from their country for 70 years.  It happened just as God spoke it through Jeremiah.  There are consequences for disobedience to God.  So many do not believe this or do not take it seriously.  Wake up… we are in the midst of His displeasure.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On-whMoulOM

Take prayer out of the public schools, take Bible reading out of the public schools, take the Ten Commandments out of the public schools, seek to remove God from public discourse and we get what we now have.  Without the goodness of God, we will get the evil of the Adversary, Satan.  People need to come to “repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:25-26).  There is a flood of demonic activity sweeping our nation.

Why is lawlessness on the increase?  Well, when a person or nation does not what to acknowledge God then there is, as in the past, a point where “God gave them over” to their own sinful and wicked desires (Romans 1:18-32).  With what is happening in the United States this appears to be what is happening.  Look at the attitudes and actions in the Roman 1:18-32 passage as well as in II Timothy 3:1-5; 12-13 passages above.  Sound familiar?

What hope do we have for our nation?  Is it the elections and politicians?  No, not foremost, although God can work through them.  What is foremost?  God Himself.  He only is our Hope.  He only has always been our Hope!  “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save” (Psalm 146:3).  Faith comes by hearing and/or reading God’s Word and then we apply what He has to say to us to life (II Timothy 3:16-17).  If we do not get back to what He says then there is no hope for this nation or any other.  He only is our Hope.  America, repent and turn to Him! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmP9LvHgcaA

Dear Father You have blessed this nation and we have taken it for granted.  We presently are not a grateful nation or given You the honor so due You.  We have become a more and more wicked nation, disobedient to You, not loving You and not truly caring for our fellow citizens.  Your grace and mercy have been upon us.  Please, if it be Your will and, in Your plan, bring revival to this land which begins with Your people.  Please stir us by Your Holy Spirit to bow our knees and lift our eyes to You.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son Jesus.
