A COUPLE INDICATORS OF THE END

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold… And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.— Matthew 24:12,14

            Lawlessness will be increased… It is interesting that this does not simple say that lawlessness will increase, but that lawlessness WILL BE INCREASED.  There will be an intentional, active and purposefulness for someone(s) to cause lawlessness to intensify.  That is one of the signs that the end is getting nearer.

            As we look at the United States there is a deliberate destabilization of our nation through lawlessness which is being encouraged by our government.  Open borders that are allowing who knows how many people in that seek to deliberately do harm here.  If we do not think that lawless people are coming over the border then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  If we do not think that terrorists are coming over the border then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  If we do not understand that drug cartels are flooding their wares over the border then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  If we do not think that sex trafficking is not taking place because of an open border then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  If we do not think that these people are being flown to various parts of our country illegally then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  If we do not understand that lives are being destroyed by this lawlessness then we do not understand the fallen nature of man.  Now this is happening in the U.S. and there is definitely an increase in lawlessness as we saw the riots to take place and destroy businesses and lives. 

Yes, there surely has been an increase in lawlessness and its affects is that “the love of many will grow cold.”  There is a terrible attitude shift in our nation where you can see the coldness in people’s lives.  Life is being devalued more and more.  People groups are being targeted for violence and even being supported by our government.  Yes, the “the love of many will grow cold.”  Others are more regularly seeing people attacked and do nothing to help them and even video it in their callousness.

But even through all of this “the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”  The Church, the Body of Christ, is not to be dissuaded from its mission.  We are to continue on sharing the gospel, making disciples and being witness until “the gospel of the kingdom be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations.”  So, let us keep our focus and be faithful to our King’s directive.  Yes, Dear Father may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g4mEfQcRW4
