REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE IN JESUS!  DON’T BE SIDE-TRACKED BY ANYBODY!

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?  —Galatians 3:1

So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. —Galatians 4:7

Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. —Galatians 4:28

Here we learn it is possible for the believer to be “bewitched.”  That is, to have someone exercising evil power over the believer or to captivate them or to put someone under a spell so they no longer can think/act according to reason or to bring evil on one by feigned praise or an evil eye, to charm, bewitch— Strong’s Concordance.  One thing we can see from this is that a believer can be negatively influence by someone seeking to hinder them from the freedom God has given us in Jesus which comes through a promise and not by works.  And this negative influence is coming from a professed believer!

Beware of anyone who is seeking to hinder you from the freedom we have in Christ (Galatians 2:4) and from the work we were created for in Jesus for (Ephesians 2:10).  There are those “religious” people who would seek to dissuade us from the freedom we have in Jesus and from the work He has for us.  They seek to drag us away as their disciples instead of pointing us to Jesus as His disciples (Acts 20:29-30).  Remember, we are no longer slaves, but we are free in Christ, a son of God and an heir of God.  This is His promise to us and let us not allow anyone to distract us from this!

Now… what is the work He has for you?  What is the work He has freed you to accomplish as He works in and through you?  What desires has He for you as a son and heir of His?  Remember who you are and live out of that blessed position!  Wow… consider who you are! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QANH8MWuyaE

Dear Father I marvel at what You have done for me through Your Son Jesus.  Oh, out of great gratitude may I leave in that freedom for which You have set me free.  May I serve You in the areas You have for me and accomplish what You desire to do in and through me.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it!
