FEAR NOT, STAND FIRM AND TRUST OUR LORD!

FEAR NOT, STAND FIRM AND TRUST OUR LORD!

For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. —Psalm 112:6-7

Those who have truly trusted Jesus, have received His righteousness and are proving that they truly have repented by the life they are living— these followers of Jesus will never be moved. There are “good works” in their lives showing they have truly called on His Name (James 2:14-26). So let me ask this question— What and where are the good works that truly prove you have repented and are following Jesus?

For those who have His righteousness and are living righteously, well, they will be remembered forever by our Lord. Those living for Him will not be “afraid of bad news.” Why? Because “his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.” Does that define you?

This year of 2021 has been a strange time as we are living with this world-wide virus. Plain and simply people are fearing. Followers of Jesus should not be fearing any more than the possibility that they could die of a heart attack at any moment. Believers are to live wisely and seek our Lord in making decisions.

Regardless of what time we live in it does not change the job description that Jesus gave us to make disciples of all nations. So another question I have is— How are you involved in the disciple-making process? How are you teaching others to obey all that Jesus has commanded you? Are you being obedient in this or disobedient? The righteous should not be moved in this as we trust the Lord to work out these desires of His in our lives. Nor should the righteous be afraid as they do what the Lord has called them to do. Yes, be a disciple first and then as a disciple make disciples (Matthew 28:16-20).

Want help in standing firm in disciple-making? Want to trust our Lord and not be afraid in disciple-making?   Want to be obedient out of love for God and people in disciple-making? Here is an opportunity to join others in learning together in making disciples—
