Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heaven. —I Chronicles 16:23-26

Who have I recently told of our Lord’s salvation?   We are encouraged to do so from day to day. How about you—when was the last time you told someone of our Lord’s salvation and His glory? —

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Do you really believe this fact stated by our Lord? If so, how are you helping to fulfill this? Are you sharing the gospel? Amazingly we are to be doing so “from day to day.” We are told that “faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” and “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”   So… “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:13-17).

Let me share one of His marvelous works that just happened.   My grand-daughter had a temperature of 105 degrees. We prayed and my son said she was “100% back to normal” and he added that happened “quick.”   I thank you O Lord that this little girl is healthy because of You! Our Lord is great and He is greatly to be praised. He is awesome and “all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heaven.”

Man’s idols: money, power, material belongings, empty religion, self, created things… are all temporary! Our Lord is eternal and He has given all those who call upon His Name eternal life! Yes, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Encourage someone today with the gospel of the One who created the heavens and the earth.   Yes, dear Father may we do so today in the power of Your Holy Spirit and by the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, may it be so!
