SOME WILL NOT LISTEN… OTHERS WILL! DON’T BE DISCOURAGED!

 As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not listen to you. —Jeremiah 44:16

             Why are you surprised when people do not listen to our Lord’s Word? It was true in Jeremiah’s time and it will be true in our time. Yet, you heard the Word of the Lord and believed and so did I. There are people who will listen and there are people who will believe… just as we did. So, do not be discouraged. Keep sharing our Lord’s Word with people. There will be some who believe. But, you have to be reaching out to them to find them.

            There are people just like us out there in the world. People who know there is more to life than what they are experiencing- needs they have that only our Lord can meet. It does not matter what level of social, ethnic, economic or national background a person has. They all were made to be in relationship with our Lord God Almighty. You and I have the answer. Will we bring it to them? (Romans 10:13-15).

            Yes, there are those who “will not listen to you.” But, there are those who will listen. May we have compassion, sensitivity and boldness to reach out to them.   May this, Dear Father, be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus!
