WE HARVEST WHAT WE SOW!

WE HARVEST WHAT WE SOW!

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. —Galatians 6:7-10

What is your harvest looking like? What are you sowing? Whatever it is you are sowing is what you will reap. Are you sowing only for the temporal? Then it is only temporary things you will harvest. Are you sowing for eternal things? Then you will harvest that which is eternal. Where we put our time, talents and treasure will indicate what kind of crop we have been sowing.

Praise God for the salvation so rich and free that we have in Jesus! But following Him takes work. Paul said of himself that “by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me” (I Corinthians 15:10).  We also have “gifts, according to the grace given to each of us” (Romans 12:6). Are we hard at work in the use of them? How are we using them? We are to be”doing good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Are we?

We are told to “not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Keep fighting the fight. Keep running the race. Keep serving our Lord and people. Keep your eyes on the prize. Keep your eyes on Jesus— the author and finisher of our faith. Don’t give up. Don’t grow weary of doing good. There will be a harvest! Persevere!

Dear Father may I be about Your business in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. Please help me to keep my eyes on Jesus and to keep my eyes on that which is eternal. Yes, may Your Holy Spirit empower me to serve fruitfully to bring You honor and glory.   So be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f2FXxDVO6w
