For freedom Christ has set us free… —Galatians 5:1

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” —Galatians 5:13-14

I am free! Jesus has set me free! He has set me free with purpose! He has set me free to serve others. He has set me free to love others. I am not to use this “freedom as an opportunity for the flesh.”

So how am I doing with my freedom? How am I serving others? How am I loving others? Or, in that freedom I have in Christ am I yielding to the flesh?   Freedom in Jesus means an active, loving service for Him and others. I am to be others focused and not self focused. All of this is out of love for God and love for others (Matthew 22:37-40).   Love for God and people is to be the motivating characteristic of my life. Is it? Is it in your life? May it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPcO5z_7msI

Thank You Father for drawing me to Jesus and giving me freedom in Him. Now, whatever it is that You desire of me, may I yield to You and be faithful to You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   So be it!
