My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. —Proverbs 2:1-5
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. —Proverbs 8:13

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others… —II Corinthians 5:11
Jesus said, “But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him” (Luke 12:5). The fear of the Lord 1- understands His wrath to come 2- gives wisdom 3- causes one to depart from evil 4- causes holiness which endures forever 5- gives a love for knowledge 6- hates evil— pride, arrogance, evil behavior, perverse speech 6- gives wisdom and the beginning of knowledge 7- is a fountain of life 8- is better than great wealth 9- brings humility 10- avoids evil 11- won’t join with rebellious officials 12- will persuade others.
Do you and I truly fear the Lord? If I truly “fear the Lord” then my life will be impacted, transformed and I will have a great desire to share the gospel with others so they will not experience the “wrath of God” by being thrown into hell. So… do I really fear the Lord?
Dear Father may I truly fear You and live according to Your desires and warn others of Your wrath to come. May it be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NedPq_bkNL8
