LORD, YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT ME

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. —Psalm 139:1-4

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. —Psalm 139:6

             My Lord knows all about me.  He knows “when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.”  He knows “my going out and my lying down.”  He is “familiar with all my ways… my going out and my lying down.”  Even “before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.”  Lord, “Your eyes saw my unformed body.”   You, Lord, know everything about me— “all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” 

So, as I sit here this morning, listening to Your birds, enjoying the lightening of Your dawn sky, Your gentle breeze, Your coolness of the morning, Your lush greenery around me… You knew all about it before I even was.  You Knew I would be here enjoying Your creation, enjoying time with You.

As I ponder what it will be like in heaven when I am so enjoying this moment, the silence is broken by a jet overhead.  As its noisy presence fades, the songs of birds are clearly heard again.  What joy they bring me.  Thank You for this time of quietness with You.  Oh, what endless joy awaits in heaven— to be with You in Your new creation where everything will be… perfect.  This morning is just a brief taste of what that will be like and it makes me smile with anticipation.  Even so, come Lord Jesus.  Yes, Dear Father, I look forward to being with Jesus and all who love Him when He makes all things new.  Until then, thank You for the present joy of this creation and may encourage others to know Jesus so they can be with Him in the new creation as well… forever!  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM38z5sds2M&list=RDcM38z5sds2M&start_radio=1
