BY FAITH!

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. ———Hebrews 11:1-3

It is by faith, which is a confidence and assurance, “we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” By faith then:

1- We understand that the universe was formed at God’s command. Multiple times in Genesis chapter 1 God created through speaking.

2- God created not out of something that was already visible, but invisible. He created everything out of nothing. He spoke everything into existence.

This cannot be understood except by faith. We are told that “without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). All through Hebrews chapter 11 we are told of what God did in and through people who had faith in Him. The question I have about that is what is what would God say about me? By faith Ted… What would God say about you? By faith you…

So will you and I truly trust what He says in His Word? Will we live by faith? Will we trust Him and what He has to say in His Word? May it be so.
