YOUR CALL!
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. —Ephesians 4:1-2
Is this child more excited about his call than you are of your being called by God? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mngIkDG3IsA Are you excited about being called by God?
The above verses in context encourage us to lead a life worthy of our calling. Are you running “the race marked out for” you, the race you were called to? For us to run this race marked out for us we must keep our eyes on Jesus who is “the author and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2). As we live out this calling it includes “always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Wow, if only we would consistently do this it would truly transform our lives and positively impact lives around us. May this be the case today!
Dear Father, may I truly be excited and rejoicing over my being called by You. Please help me to live a life worthy of the calling You called me to. May this be done, not in my own strength, but by the Spirit’s power and in the authority of Jesus. May it be so!
