And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. —Ephesians 3:18-19
Having an understanding of God’s love for us is the springboard to truly live and experience His power and completeness. He so love’s we people He created. His desire is for His us to understand His love and power— to truly know Him and not just information about Him.
He has set His table of love for us. Everything we need is on that table and we can never exhaust its bounty. Do you think you have messed up too many times to be forgiven? Not so, there is an endless supply of forgiveness on the table. His love wants to forgive. We must not think that His love might not come with discipline though because His love table has plenty of that as well.
Don’t be lonely. His table has plenty of companionship to distribute. Unfortunately, too many people sit off in the corner and do not come to His table of love for companionship. If only they would come to the table, not only would they find His loving companionship, but also that there are many others at the table as well to lovingly fellowship with.
Don’t be fearful. His table of love is His table and nothing He does or allows is served outside of His love. Why are you fearful? Do you not truly understand that there are no situations or circumstances outside of His love for you? Sit at His table and listen to Him speak to your fears and understand how He is working through them. Trust Him.
Don’t be anxious. His table of love is able to deal with troubling thoughts as well. See how the Creator has set His table. Did He leave anything out? Of course not! Is there a solution on His table for my concerns? Yes there is, but you must wait until it is passed to you. Be patient and expectant of good things to come from His hand. Wait on Him to serve what You need from His table.
Whatever your situation “may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” It is then that we will have completeness in Him. He loves you greatly! Come into His presence at His table.
Dear Father, please help me to understand Your love more and more that I might live a life more complete as You desire. May this be so in the authority of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit’s power.
