HOLD FAST!

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus. —Revelation 12:17

Sports teams are easy to recognize by uniforms. Their colors and logos make for quick identification. Players are known by the numbers they wear and statistics in a multitude of areas are kept to track of their performance.

Those who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ can be easily identified as well as they “keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.” There will be a 3 ½ month period where Satan will be enraged at Israel while she is being protected from him. He will turn his focus on those very ones who are being obedient to Jesus and bearing testimony about Him. Satan will “wage war” against them.

If you or I would be living at that time, would we be in that group that Satan would wage war against? Would we be easy to identify as being on the Lord’s side? Are we keeping God’s commands? Are we bearing testimony about Jesus? Are we God’s offspring—faithful followers of Jesus? May it be so!

Dear Father, oh that I would be obedient to Your Word and faithful in testifying about Jesus. Regardless of what happens to me or what circumstances I am in, may I cling to the Lord Jesus Christ and honor Him. May it be so!
