BE THANKFUL FOR HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS— You Have None of Your Own

BE THANKFUL FOR HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS! —You Have None of Your Own

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High. —Psalm 7:17

Yes, let us give thanks to the Lord for His righteousness.  He always does what is right.  He alone is perfectly right in all He does.  He makes no mistakes.  His plans do not ever fail.  He acts totally righteous toward you and toward everybody and everything.  He alone is blameless.  He alone is “the LORD Most High.”  He alone is perfectly just.  Yes, He always does what is right… always!  He alone is sinless.  He alone is blameless.  He is to be praised! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8PhSP4HXAI

Yes, let us give thanks and praise for His righteousness that He has given to all who call on the Name of the Lord Jesus (Romans 10:13)— “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21).  This is astounding that God would do this for those who call on His Name.  We are righteous, blameless in Jesus and it is only in Him that we are.  Nothing we have done could have attained this righteous/blameless position in Christ Jesus.  He is the one that did it for His purposes.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjLlLPZderk

One day, hallelujah, we will experientially know complete righteousness and perfection.  Sin still has an affect on us.  If this was not the case then we would not die, we would not make mistakes, we would not _____________.  Sin affects all of creation which we are a part of (Romans 8:18-25).  Not only does “the whole of creation groan… but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.”  One day sin will have no affect on us at all— “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).  Yes, one day we are going to be fully complete.  Yes, even so come Lord Jesus!

Dear Father, thank You for Your Righteousness and Mercy, Grace and Justice that extends this righteousness to us.  You alone would treat those who were against You, those who were Your enemies, like this.  Yes, I am eternally grateful and may I share this Good News with those around me in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son.  Yes, so be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqLulbmdbLg
