THE PROTECTIVE HAND OF OUR LORD!

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side— let Israel now say—if it had not been the LORD who was on our side when people rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; then over us would have gone the raging waters.  Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth!  We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped!  Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. —Psalm 124

            This is Israel’s only hope today as well.  If our Lord does not protect them, they will be “swallowed up alive.”  How could a small country ever exist without our Lord’s help when they are being attacked so viciously?  It is so obvious that our Lord has intervened in supernatural ways in the past.  May He do so today!

            There is such hatred toward the Jewish people and even in our own country this is true.  This is so sad.  I still remember an incident when I was around 10 years old.  Older boys were bullying this Jewish boy, an older boy, on the bus we were riding.  I remember standing up and telling them to leave him alone.  I was surprised that they did leave him alone and that I, a much younger boy, didn’t get my face pummeled.

            Satan hates the Jewish people from whence our Savior was born into.  The demons of hell are seething against them and motivating people to attack them.  Oh, that many attacking Israel would “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).  Of course, this is true of anybody who has not called on Jesus, whether Jew or Gentile, they all need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.”  Oh, yes, Dear Father, may You impact many during this difficult time in Israel, Jew and Gentile, so they will call on Jesus.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus.  So be it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfiYWaeAcRw
