GIVEN POWER TO PROCLAIM!
…for there is a greater power with us than with him. —II Chronicles 32:7
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go… —Matthew 28:18-19
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. —Acts 1:8
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. —I John 4:4
Think about this, brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, that the Creator of all has given us His authority and power to do the work He has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10). There is no greater power than He who said, “surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20) and “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Indeed, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6). Can you and I say that with absolute confidence?
Jesus gave us all authority and power through the Holy Spirit to make disciples/be witnesses of His. Are we doing so? We are already overcomers of this world’s system “because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” So, let be faithful to Jesus who said to His Father— “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world” (John 17:18). Sent into the world for what? Sent with the gospel so “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
“How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” —Romans 10:14-15
It is not that we will be sent, brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, we are already sent. The question is— Will we go where He desires us to go and speak to who He desires us to speak to?” Oh, may it be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of our Lord Jesus. Yes, may we be lovingly obedient to what You desire of us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO-UkeNNxaQ&list=RDlO-UkeNNxaQ&start_radio=1
