BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD! (And you are not!)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. —Psalm 46:1-3
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” —Psalm 46:10
The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? —Psalm 27:1
Right now, be still and know that He is God. Be still… It is hard for so many of us to be still and reflect on how God is God and we are not! We are already thinking about what is ahead of us today at work, school, around the house, the children, the pets… We can get busy so soon in our day that we don’t take the time to “Be still, and know that I am God.”
But we need to take time to remember who He is. He is our refuge in a fallen world where “though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Remember that He is our “ever-present help in trouble.” As stated in John Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress” that “help” is not far away— https://youtu.be/S6jcC5plaNk?t=1297 Remember…
Our fallen world has so much instability, chaos, corruption and uncertainty. But that is not the case for a follower of Jesus. In such a fallen world we can find stability, order, honesty and certainty. We can find these things because we are following Jesus. He is our—

Yes, let us “Be still, and know that I am God” as we start our day. Yes, Dear Father, thank You for all Your reminders and that I can have peace in Jesus even in a world of unrest. May I live so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfiYWaeAcRw&list=RDTfiYWaeAcRw&start_radio=1
