WHO/WHAT IS YOUR TRUST PUT IN

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. —Psalm 19:1-4

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. —Psalm 20:7

Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. —Psalm 21:13

And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, saying that gods made with hands are not gods. —Acts 19:26

God’s glory and power are seen in the heavens and in all of creation.  Men seek to suppress this truth and do so through their wickedness (Romans 1:18-20).  Be absolutely assured of what God is saying… It is through wickedness that men suppress the truth that He is the Creator of the heavens and earth.  It is denying what His Word clearly says— Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 1:2).  Nobody in all the earth has any excuse for not believing that God is the Creator and that He exists (Hebrews 1:6).

Yet, instead of trusting God, men will put their trust in themselves, in their war machines and not in God.  But I will trust in the Lord God Almighty.  He is all-powerful and I will sing and praise His power— whether it is seen in the tiny wildflower or in that of the most enormous sun.  It is He that I will trust — the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Men put their trust in governments.  Men put their trust in the military.  Men put their trust in themselves.  Now God can work through any of those to carry out His purposes— and He does, but they are not our Savior.  No… “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life’ (John 3:16). And so “these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  Where are you putting your trust?

Dear Father, I put my trust in my Lord Jesus.  I trust Him for my eternal destination.  I trust Him now to do what He desires to do in and through my life.  May I be faithfully about Your business by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So be it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3YGczmlbV8
