HEARTY OBEDIENCE BRINGS MATURITY IN JESUS!

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. —II Chronicles 19:9

Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” —John 14:21

            You want to have strong support from our Lord?  The “eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth.”  He is seeking “those whose heart is blameless toward him.”  Are you and I one of those people?  Do we seek to live faithfully for Him?  What is your heart condition?

            We are told that anyone who has His “commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me.”  It is not enough to have His commands.  We must keep His commands.  Obedience to His Word shows evidence that we truly love Him.  Do you love Him… truly?  If we are being lovingly faithful to Him then we are told that His Father will love us and Jesus will love us.  Not only will Jesus love us, but He will manifest Himself to us.  He will reveal more of Himself to us. 

            So, to get to know Jesus more, to grow in our relationship with Him more, we must be faithfully carrying out His Word.  Are you feeling stagnant in your relationship with the Lord?  Check to see if you are being lovingly obedient to what He has already revealed to you.  If not, then why would He reveal more of Himself to you?  May we be faithfully obedient and not like those mentioned in Hebrews where “In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil” (Hebrews 5:12-14).  Oh, let us move on in maturity to honor our Lord.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Sx_U0Ztr8
