NEEDED— TEACHERS OF GOD’S WORD AND JUST LEADERS!

Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand. And all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor. His heart was courageous in the ways of the LORD. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah. In the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah; and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram. And they taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the LORD with them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people. And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they made no war against Jehoshaphat. —II Chronicles 17:5-10

He appointed judges in the land in all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, and said to the judges, “Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the LORD. He is with you in giving judgment.  Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the LORD our God, or partiality or taking bribes.” —II Chronicles 19:5-7

Jehoshaphat encourage the teaching of the Word of God through all the cities in Judah.  He also appointed judges in all the fortified cities of Judah and told them to “Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the LORD. He is with you in giving judgment.  Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the LORD our God, or partiality or taking bribes.”  Wow, would it not be wonderful today, in our country, if we had appointed people that knew they were judging for the Lord and not man.  What a joy to have people would be careful in what they were doing, knowing “there is no injustice with the LORD our God, or partiality or takin g bribes.”

Yes, people need to hear the Word of God and we need leaders who would stand for doing what is just, not showing partiality or taking bribes.  Unfortunately, many of those in leadership today are selfish, unjust, partial and are taking bribes.  How sad!  Dear Father, be pleased to intervene and put people in leadership that are just, impartial and will not be bribed.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Oh, that it would be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM
