PREPARE OTHERS FOR WHEN YOU ARE GONE!

Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses. —Deuteronomy 34:9

            To whom are we imparting what our Lord has taught us so when we are no longer living, they will carry on in our Lord’s work?  Who can we trust to be faithful with the message we have to share with others? (II Timothy 2:2).

            Moses had mentored and coached Joshua for some time.  He took the time and made the effort to intentionally spend time with Joshua and impart to him what our Lord had imparted to Moses.  He also delegated responsibility to Joshua to develop his potential.  Is there anyone in our lives like that? 

            What will happen when we are gone from this world?  Will the glorious message stop with us?  Or, will it continue through someone, or many, that we have mentored, coached and discipled that they too will go on to make more disciples that will in turn also do the same right down to the end of the age?

            If you are not making disciples and preparing them for when you are gone, then why not?  Is this not what Jesus commanded you to do (Matthew 28:18-20)?  So let us be faithful to His call on our lives.  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Dear Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu2S9y3r0XE
