CONFIDENT IN CHRIST!

CONFIDENT IN CHRIST!

It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. —Deuteronomy 31:8

And the LORD commissioned Joshua the son of Nun…  —Deuteronomy 31:23

For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God!  The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he. —Deuteronomy 32:3-4

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. —Deuteronomy 32:39

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?” —Hebrews 13:5-6

God has said clearly in His Word that “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  We will never experience being forsaken as Jesus was forsaken! (Matthew 27:46).  Of all that Jesus experienced on the cross, He even took our being forsaken upon Himself and was forsaken for us.  Wow… that is a very hard fact to grasp!

But, let us be clear— WE WILL NEVER FORSAKE US…NEVER?  The Lord commissioned Joshua for a work and He has also given us a commission.  In giving us the commission to make disciples that obey, He said, “I will be with you until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:16-20).  Co-mission is to be doing a piece of the work for someone.  Joshua was to do a piece of God’s work.  We also are to do a piece of God’s Work and He is working along with us.  We do not do His work on our own!  And, we can be absolutely confident that the work that He is working with us that He desires to be done will get done!  Let us rejoice in that fact!

So let us proclaim with Him the message and work that He has given us.  Yes, “For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God!  The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.”

So dear brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, may we do so, knowing “that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.”  So… “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.  What can mere mortals do to me?”  Let us confidently be about His co-mission!  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfiYWaeAcRw
